Privacy Policy

This is a placeholder Privacy Policy page. Full disclosures — including what we collect, how we use it, third-party processors (Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Resend), data retention, your rights under GDPR and CCPA, and how to request export or deletion — will be drafted by counsel before general availability.
Data we process
- Account info you provide at sign-up: name, work email, company name.
- Workspace content you create: projects, tasks, files, messages, expenses.
- Operational metadata: IP addresses + user agents on writes for the audit log.
BisHub Marketplace
What we collect
- Customers: name, email address, optional phone number, the ZIP code of the job, request details, photos and documents you attach, messages, quotes you receive, your choices (hired / not selected), completion confirmations, problem reports and reviews.
- Companies: listing content, services, service areas, work-base ZIP code and service radius.
Who can see it
- A request is delivered only to the Companies you choose. Each Company sees only its own conversation and its own quotes, never those of other Companies.
- Before you share your contact details, a Company sees your display name (first name and last initial), the ZIP code, the job description, timing, budget and your attachments.
- Your email address, phone number and address reach a Company only if you choose to share them after hiring it. Once shared, the Company keeps them in its own records (for example its client record and job); sharing cannot be undone.
- Published reviews show your first name and last initial.
- BisHub staff open a conversation only to handle a report, and each such access is recorded.
Emails
We send service emails about your requests and listing (new messages, quotes, job updates). They contain no message text, address or contact details, and Customers can turn them off in account settings. Service emails are separate from marketing emails; creating an account never subscribes you to marketing.
Analytics
With your consent we measure usage (for example, that a company profile was viewed). This never includes message text, addresses or contact details.
Retention
BisHub has not set fixed retention periods for Marketplace data. Requests, messages, files, quotes and reviews are kept until the account is deleted as described below, or until you ask us to delete them. Turning the Marketplace or a listing off does not delete data.
Deleting your account
Customers can delete their account at bishub.com/delete-account. Deletion removes your sign-in and customer profile, your reviews, the files you attached and the text of your messages, and removes your name, contact details, job description and ZIP code from the Marketplace records and from the copies a hired Company received through the Marketplace (the Company then sees “Former customer”). It is not full anonymisation: the service type, city, state, timing, budget and status of your requests are kept; a Company you hired keeps the job and the accepted quote; anything a Company wrote or entered itself is not changed; and BisHub keeps your email address and unsubscribe choice in its contact records so that we never email you against your choice. If you cannot sign in, email info@bishub.com to ask for access to or deletion of your data.
Service providers
Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email) and Amazon Web Services (file storage). Data is stored in the United States.
