Plumbers

Plumbers fix and install the pipes, fixtures, water heaters and drains of a home or business. Compare local plumbing contractors on BisHub, check that they serve your ZIP and send one request to up to three of them.

Availability is confirmed for the exact job ZIP — when you send a request, BisHub checks each company again.

How to choose a plumber

Typical plumbers jobs:

  • Leaks, clogged drains and running toilets
  • Water heaters: repair and replacement
  • Fixtures, re-piping and remodel plumbing
  • For a leak, describe where the water shows up and shut the supply valve if you can.
  • Ask for the license number and check it with the state.
  • Ask whether the job needs a permit — water-heater replacements and re-piping usually do.
  • Compare what each quote includes: parts, haul-away, permit, warranty terms the company offers.

License, insurance and other details on a profile are stated by the company itself. BisHub shows them as provided and does not verify them — check a license with the issuing authority before you hire.

How requests work on BisHub

  1. Enter the ZIP code where the work will be done. The list then shows only companies whose service area includes that ZIP, with the approximate distance from their work base.
  2. Open a company profile to read its description, services, service area, hours and published reviews.
  3. Send a request to one company, or pick up to three and send the same request to each. Companies reply and send quotes inside BisHub; you choose whether to hire anyone.
  4. Requests are free for customers. BisHub is the platform the companies use — it is not the contractor, and it does not do the work.

Questions and answers

Yes. Plumbing contracting is one of the contractor categories of s. 489.105(3) of the Florida Statutes. Certified plumbing contractors (CFC) may work anywhere in the state; registered ones (RF) only where they are registered.
How do I check a plumber's license?
Search the name or license number in the DBPR license search (myfloridalicense.com).
Can I send the request to more than one plumber?
Yes — pick up to three companies and send one request; each answers separately.
